Senior Software Engineer – Security Clearance

Job Description

As a Cleared Senior Software Engineer you will serve on a development team supporting our customer in Falls Church, VA. This position REQUIRES U.S. citizenship and an Active DoD Security Clearance (minimum SECRET)

Position Requirements

  • BS degree in engineering or other relevant discipline
  • Minimum of 5 years J2SE design and development experience with focus on middle tier and RDBMS
  • Minimum 3 years Oracle PL/SQL and SQL development experience
  • Understanding of data warehousing concepts
  • Minimum 3 years XML experience, including XSD, XSLT
  • Minimum 2 years experience SOAP based web services development
  • Experience with Bash Shell scripting and command line
  • Basic Solaris OS knowledge
  • Knowledge of industry data standards, architectures, design principles, data transformation, and database design/integration principles
  • Understanding of or experience with Service Oriented Architectures (SOA)
  • Experience with Configuration Management and Software Build tools
  • Platform experience with Apache/Tomcat
  • Basic understanding of DoD terminology and software life cycle
  • Experience with Spiral development methodology

Job Description

The Web Content Analyst will expertly produce, edit, and publish Web content in support of multiple customer website. S/He will perform effectively without extensive supervision and will function well both individually and as part of a team. There will be direct client support on Web projects. Flexibility will be required as the work environment is fast-paced with the potential for multiple simultaneous projects and various interruptions. Success in this position requires a confident and self-directed individual with excellent judgment and the ability to prioritize tasks and manage details in order to meet deadlines.

Position Requirements

  • A Bachelors degree in a related discipline (or strong equivalent experience)
  • Minimum 3 years experience in Web production and editing
  • Excellent English writing and editing skills and a firm grasp of proper grammar
  • Knowledge of current styles, practices, and procedures related to effective web communications
  • Solid HTML and CSS skills
  • Experience with Web development processes and technologies including Adobe/Macromedia tools
  • Strong problem solving skills and analytical capabilities
  • Efficient work habits and outstanding organizational skills
